A Fated Moment
by Šárka Houfek
(dedicated to a predestined moment shared with Klarka Pohlová)
We gazed at the skies
feeling alive and free.
Feet loose on the sand
smelling the warm salty sea.
A smile that wouldn't stop
a rush that wouldn't fade.
Our heads swimming with sensation
from the moment we had made.
We were lost sisters, now found
understanding each other without a sound.
Enjoying God’s creations
without a complaint.
For that day we had bonded
it was our destiny, our fate.
We gazed at the skies
feeling alive and free.
Then the heavens opened-
allowing us to see.
Our guardian angel-
looking at her, then, looking at me.
